2017 Oregon Christian Convention



Keynote Presenters:



Gary Selby

Currently Gary is the Director of the Center for Faith and Learning at Pepperdine University. The Center seeks to unite “the  life of faith and the life of the mind“. In January of 2017 Gary will join the faculty of Emmanuel Christian Seminary as  Professor of Pastoral Ministry. Over the years Gary has been a pastor, panelist on international panels dealing with social issues, an author… He is a campus favorite at Pepperdine.

For the last three decades, his passionate style and humorous delivery have made him a sought after speaker, lecturing to over 60,000 students and adults annually at Christian schools and universities, youth seminars, and conferences worldwide. A graduate of the University of California at Irvine in speech and communications Jeff received a Masters in Religion at Pepperdine University

and an honorary doctorate in theology from Hope University in Fullerton, California. Jeff now serves at Pepperdine University as the Director of the Youth Leadership Initiative, a project dedicated to raising up the next generation of young Christian leaders.  Along with being an author with Simon & Schuster,

and producing teaching videos used by schools and churches nationwide, Jeff loves music and co-wrote three full length musicals including “A Time To Stand”

which retells the story of Esther. Jeff lives in Malibu, CA with his wife, Cathryn and is the father of three sons and a daughter-in-law: Taylor and Courtney, Riley and Spencer.


Leading Worship at the 2017 Convention:

Scott Miller

Scott Miller is the Worship Arts Pastor at Abundant Life Church in Happy Valley, Oregon. Originally from sunny California, he and his family moved up to the Pacific Northwest over seven years ago, and consider it home. Scott is privileged to lead worship with his church community each weekend at Abundant Life Church and also leads worship for various youth camps and conferences.

Outside of leading a worship ministry he has the honor of sharing life with his wife Sarah and three active and wonderful boys. 











Every morning at 10:45 get ready to be challenged by the different breakout session speakers. Click the “Morning Breakout Sessions” button to find out who’s sharing. Get acquainted with their ministries. These sessions happen Wednesday thru Saturday at 10:45 AM in the Tabernacle.

OCC offers a youth group rate for registration. The registration form gives all the details on what to expect, what to bring and how to plan for an incredible week (or weekend) with your youth group at the 165th Oregon Christian Convention.

Invite your church family to come as a group. Be a part of the coming together of all age groups to worship, play and learn.
